Graduate Conferences in European History welcomes you all to its first conference:

New Histories of Politics

Topics, Theories, and Methods in the History of Politics beyond Great Events and Great Men a conference at Central European University (Budapest) 18-20 May 2007

This is the first of four annual conferences in the series Graduate Conferences in European History (GRACEH), organized by Central European University, Budapest (History Department; Department of Medieval Studies), the European University Institute, Florence (Department of History and Civilization) and the Berliner Kolleg für Vergleichende Geschichte Europas, Berlin and the European Review of History/Revue européenne d’histoire, a refereed journal published by Routledge, which has also expressed an interest in publishing some of the best papers to emerge from GRACEH.

The events in the GRACEH series are organized to build a new network of early stage researchers and enhance transnational and inter-generational dialogue among historians across Europe. Thus, the call is specifically addressed to PhD candidates interested in interacting with one another, the invited keynotes and the faculty of the host institution (this time that of CEU).

 Invited Keynote Speakers:
Bertrand Taithe, Heinz-Gerhard Haupt, István Rév
